Abstract :
In this paper, a methodical approach for evaluation and verification of the call processing performance in a prototyped field environment for EV-DO system is addressed. The performance of the EV-DO Radio Access Network (RAN) system in terms of normal and abnormal call detail record (CDR) is investigated. The performance in terms of forward-link as well as reverse-link best-effort data throughput for an EV-DO system with varied users is also addressed. These performance results have been evaluated through experimental studies and are compared with the defined benchmarks of the field trial data in order to ensure overall call processing stability of the EV-DO system.
