Study on Management of Asymmetric Information in Equipment Procurement

Information is the foundation and platform of procurement mechanism to run smoothly. Many problems in equipment procurement is caused by asymmetric information. The paper describes the condition of information management in equipment procurement. Based on the rules and characteristics of information management, it makes analysis of information asymmetry in equipment procurement. The paper proposes such ways to solve the problem of asymmetric information as strengthening competitive negotiation, establishing information periodic report system and using e-commerce, electronic data interchange system or paying more attention to civilian programs. Solving the problem of asymmetric information may lay the scientific foundation for equipment procurement.
