Abstract :
In this work, we study the two discontinuities open-end and series gap in coplanar striplines. New integral equations for the electrical field components are formulated, in the spectral domain, using an exact dyadic Green´s function, applied to the coplanar stripline structure. The using this type of Green´s function, we consider the effects of the dielectric losses, surface wave excitation and space wave radiation on the propagation characteristics of the coplanar strip line and its two discontinuities. The resulting integral equation has been solved by the two-dimensional Galerkin´s technique. The resulting matrix equation resolution gives the S-parameters of the two studied discontinuities. Our results are compared to those of other approaches
