Abstract :
A pattern of points reconstructed from information on the interpoint distances alone,. using multidimensional scaling, is discussed. Graph algorithms are utilized to determine a minimal set of this information adequate to allow a unique reconstruction of the pattern. The minimal information required to correctly construct a map locating eight cities is considered
