This conference is a flagship event of IEEE Region 10 which has been held since 1980. The theme of the conference on "Sustainable Development through Humanitarian Technology" is reflective of the topical issues facing us engineers and the conference will provide a focussed deliberation and an exciting program that should be both enlightening and enriching. A distinguished team of eminent plenary speakers has also been assembled to give expert insights into the related topics. TENCON 2012 also includes a special track which serves as the 8th Engineering Research and Development for Technology Conference.
