Abstract
This paper deals with an analysis procedure of a field oriented controlled induction motor by means of finite element simulations. A novelty of the proposed procedure is that only magneto-static field solutions are used in the motor analysis. Both the stator and rotor currents are imposed as field source. The comparison with experimental tests confirms the accuracy of the prediction achieved by the proposed analysis.
