Abstract :
Single portal association used in current WMN has bottleneck problem to make WMN potentially inefficient and bad-user-experienced. Even the existing multiple path solutions cannot tackle such problem well. In this paper, we propose MR-TBMPA (Multipath Routing using Tree-Base Multi-Portal Association) to reduce the impact brought by WMN´s bottleneck problem by allowing low-work-load nodes to participate in packet forwarding through multi-portals. This work is evaluated with OMNET++ simulation and it can be found that MR-TBMPA is able to bring down the number of packet dropped by up to 70% and reduce the impact of bottleneck effect.
