Abstract :
Today, number of disabled people is increasing continually compared to the past. Meanwhile, range of disability continued to expand, now including all type of illnesses, and disabilities resulting from car accident, aging, industrial accident and other accidents. To the disabled people who are increasing in number, rehabilitation is essential. In particular, it is important to perceive the importance of physical activities. These days, there are many technologies and services in the IT field that are being developed with the goal of rehabilitation in addition to providing them for exercising for improving health. In order to provide new service opportunities, crumbling down of the boundary between different industries, spread of new technologies and diverse demands are required. With these serving as the turning point, convergence phenomenon is being accelerated even more. Convergence trend is now moving into other domains after it is inherent in the entire contents industry, and this is playing the role of satisfying the users´ cultural demand even more diversely. Emergence of business model related to these diverse contents enables application that suits the demands for services of other diverse forms that are different from the existing exercise participation methods; disabled people have to be motivated to engage in physical activities for rehabilitation purpose, whether voluntarily or with initiated by others. Accordingly, this research seeks to analyze the case in which converged contents that use contents based on IT technology was applied to the field of rehabilitation for the disabled.
