Abstract
In the present work, mathematical modeling of dynamics of spherical particle after its separation from an electrode is done. On the basis of quasistatic model without solving the equations of electrodynamics it is shown that, at the high enough rate of rise of electric field strength, the particle can be returned to the electrode. This conclusion gives the grounds to pay attention to a possibility of nonelementary behavior of the particle after its separating from the electrode, and in particular to a possibility of its multiple return to the electrode during large rate of voltage rise.
