  • Abstract
In this paper, applying an instance of dry transformers thermal design equations is analyzed for constructing a relevant set. Afterwards, design thermal calculations are performed by applying the finite element method. Subsequently, a dry transformer is made and has gone under thermal tests. Finally, the results of its practical tests are compared with those obtained via each methodology applied. Through this approach, validity of each method, accuracy of the coefficients and the safety margin of each method is evaluated.
