Abstract :
A free-space transmission technique was used to determine the dielectric properties of wheat at frequencies from 4 to 12 GHz. Undesirable effects such as multiple reflections and diffraction at the edges of the sample were minimized by selecting optimum conditions and use of a microwave focused beam.
