Abstract :
Plasma arc cladding rapid prototyping (PACRP) has received widespread attention in direct metal prototyping technology. The design principle concerning the composition and microstructure of existing plasma arc cladding Fe-based alloy and the problems in rapid prototyping cladding condition were discussed. The essential approach for preventing rapid prototyping plasma cladding layer from cracks was developing appropriate materials. The design principle of plasma rapid prototyping appropriate Fe-based alloy was analyzed, and new FeCrBSiNiMoNbRe Fe-based alloy was designed, and its feasibility was validated by experiment.
