This paper describes a system-level analysis to study a radio frequency communication system. The proposed top-down analysis allows us to derive the overall system specifications by using hardware description language VHDL- AMS simulations. The obtained specifications could be used to help engineers in designing O-QPSK receiver for 2.4-GHz band IEEE 2802.15.4 "ZigBee" standard.
