Abstract :
A presentation is made of the methodology adopted in the design of the automatic synthesis of performance evaluation models supporting operation of computer-aided tools. The approach is implemented in two stages. The first stage provides a multilevel Petri net model describing all potentially possible realisations of the material flows. The second stage consists in modification of the model obtained. The resultant model incorporates some deadlock avoidance rules and encompasses only feasible realisations of material flows
