  • Abstract
    This paper deals with the use of the instantaneous active and reactive power signature analysis and their ratios for the diagnosis of airgap eccentricity and rotor cage fault conditions in operating three-phase induction motors. Both simulation and experimental results are presented to show the merits of the proposed approach that offers the possibility to distinguish between both fault conditions.
