Abstract :
A digital implementation of a new generation strategy for multilevel voltage-source inverters employing a fast microprocessor and logic circuits is presented in this paper. Using a generic multilevel inverter structure, this technique permits an output voltage of any number of levels to be generated with a simple on-line algorithm and some logic circuitry. Simulation tests carried out by means of "Simulink" have been performed for many generation cases, while experimental results are reported for a five level prototype
