Abstract :
In the paper, a model of ship balance control for athwartships trim based on transferring liquid among tanks is established, the performance of model of ship is also analyzed and simulated. First, a ship dynamics model for athwartships trim is build based on the ship static knowledge, Secondly, the actuator based on the transferring Liquid among Tanks for ship balance control is involved and also the whole model of actuator is built. Thirdly, according to this system model, the ship balance capacity and dynamic balance process are investigated and analyzed with theory calculation and simulation. A real ship system is also involved in the research work so as to demonstrate the system model built in the paper is reasonable. The research result shows it is significant to analyze the ship balance process and the ship posture control. It can be applied to improve the ship safety and also decrease the risk when the balance posture of the ship is damaged.
