Abstract :
A procedure, which helps developing an optimized construction of a 6/4 type SRM, is described in the paper. A multicriterial optimization procedure and an analytical model arising from a reluctance network method is applied. An influence of non-linear properties of magnetic materials is taken into account. Calculations are performed in the Matlab environment. Obtained constructions, initial and optimized ones, are validated by means of FEM calculations. Simulation results related to a dynamic lumped-parameter model are presented. The proposed approach can be employed when designing the SRM to be a drive motor in an electrical vehicle.
