Abstract :
The optimum selection of medium and long-term terminal area planning is very important to the work quality and efficiency of air traffic management and flight safety. However, in practice, the optimum selection is usually made by some professional experts based on their specialized domain knowledge and experience. This human-made selection can be biased or not favourable. To solve this problem, we present an evaluation method based on the interval TOPSIS technique. Our method can make unbiased optimum selection without human interference. We give details of this new method in this paper, including constructing evaluation indicator system, obtaining values of each indicator, building evaluation model based on interval TOPSIS, and finding solution to the model, etc. In the last part of this paper, we present a numerical example to demonstrate the feasibility of this method.
