Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the correlation between environmental regulations and foreign direct investment (FDI) technology spillovers. Ordinary least squares regression is applied to empirically study the impacts of environmental regulation to spillover effects of FDI from 1991 to 2009 in China. The results show that foreign direct investment has a significant spillover effects to China´s economic growth. Environmental regulation has positive effects on the improvement of FDI spillover effects. The management proficiency of environmental regulation in China needs updated, the technological advance and technology utilization in foreign-funded enterprises should be encouraged, and improve spillover effects of FDI to China´s economic growth.
