Abstract
The far-infrared spectra for selected compounds in gasoline have been investigated in the spectral range of 1.5-20 THz. Specific absorption bands of xylene isomers allowed the quantitative determination of individual xylene in gasoline. Total concentration of xylene isomers measured by THz spectroscopy is in good agreement with the literature.
