Abstract
This paper investigates the noise influence on the frequency estimation performance of energy centrobaric correction method for discrete spectrum. The theoretical frequency estimation error is derived under condition that the observed signal is multiplied by a symmetrical window function. The theoretical error has been analyzed for either the right or wrong maximal spectrum line is searched. Some measures have been proposed to overcome the drawbacks of Energy Centrobaric Correction Method using only three lines estimation or four lines estimation. Simulations for discrete spectrum multiplied by Hanning window function are finally carried out to verify the correctness of the theoretical derivation. The results also demonstrate that the improved Energy Centrobaric Correction Method has higher anti-noise performance and broader application range.
