  • Abstract
    The traditional rules to classify and subdivide map were broken, and a new method of map data generation and management was put forward in this paper, based on Pyramid Model and Quad Tree Model, according to the characteristic of data scheduling in network environment. Also the procession flow to get Quad Tree map data using standard map sheet data, non-standard map sheet data or Quad Tree map data was given. Moreover, ASP.NET technology was used to complement the scheduling of map data in either intranet or internet, both of them run quickly and conveniently. Experiments had demonstrated that Quad Tree map data is very useful to geographical information services.
