Abstract
A system-theoretic approach provides a unified framework within which the boundary implications in parameter space of univariate as well as multivariate polynomials can be analyzed in order that specified domains or polydomains are devoid of zeros of such polynomials. The approach also suggests generalizations to noninterval polynomials and interval rational functions of the analysis of properties that include robust stability as a special case
