Abstract
The authors describe an exploratory system that has been developed to demonstrate the ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) capabilities for multimedia services support. Integral parts of the testbed are a controllable traffic generator and measurement capabilities which enable a wide range of multimedia traffic performance experimentation. These allow experimentation with several ATM traffic issues that are difficult to address analytically. Lessons learned and sample results are presented
