Abstract :
Based on a portable device, highly integrating Remote sensing, GIS and GPS technology, using Embedded development, the mobile GIS system specially for forest resources inventory hardware was developed. The paper deeply discusses the composition of the system, key technical problem which it has solved, and current status of the practical application of the system all over the nationwide. The research results will be very important to apply mobile GIS to digitization of forest resource inventory precisely and efficiently, and improve the informational and digital construction of forest resource inventory.
