Abstract :
Teleradiology is the electronic transmission of radiological images from one location to another for the purpose of interpretation and consultation. With the advent of latest hardware and software technology in computer and imaging and boom in information technology sector, effective and useful teleradiology practice is now a reality. Potential of teleradiology in health care and medical education is being realized in India as well. Teleradiology breaks geographical and time barriers and helps achieve accurate diagnoses in the shortest possible time. We present our experience of teleradiology at a tertiary care medical centre over last four years.
