Abstract
The author develops a sufficient stability criterion for unsynchronized, multirate, sampled-data systems. Such hybrid systems include a linear, time-invariant plant and several unsynchronized digital controllers. The criterion, which is computed from eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the closed-loop state transition matrix, objectively describes long- and short-term stability. A simple example illustrates the method
