Abstract
A low-power radio has been developed as an embedded communication core for wireless sensor networks system-on-chip designs. Energy constraints and sensor network design considerations due to the limited battery energy supply are described. Lowpower receiver and transmitter architectures for wireless sensor networks are presented. Associated low-power RF circuit design methodologies are also illustrated.
