Abstract
Several stratospheric trace gases can be remotely sensed by groundbased millimeter wave radiometry. Altitude profiles of the volume mixing ratios of those gases can be retrieved front measured spectral lineshapes due to the altitude dependent pressure broadening of the line. However, measured spectra are frequently disturbed by device-caused standing waves due to reflections. As a consequence the retrieval of altitude profiles from the spectra requires a more sophisticated analysis. In this paper a new extension of two well known standard inversion algorithms will be given for the inversion of spectra with superimposed standing waves by simultaneously fitting their amplitudes and phases
