Abstract :
High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line of 2500MW, ±500kV is modeled in the PSB/SIMULINK software and the system is analyzed for its performance. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is developed in MATLAB to optimize the control parameters of the controllers on the rectifier side and Inverter side. The generic control parameters were replaced with obtained control parameters from optimization routine and the system response is compared and finally control parameters are finalized based on the best system response.
