  • Abstract
    Even though it has been improved that network, multimedia technology and mobile system provide users more convenience nowadays, better performance of data transmission and storage is in urgent need. In this paper, a still image compression, JPEG2000 is transplanted on smart phone based on Android to enhance efficiency of image compression compared with traditional JPEG. JPEG2000, which is wavelet-based, has the features of multi-level image resolution and image quality; and Android has powered more and more embedded terminal devices in recent years. The combination of them will make an excellent influence. Some key technologies about JPEG2000 and Android are introduced and discussed during the transplanting in the paper.
