Abstract :
The authors deal with an index for predicting voltage instability, based on the relationship between voltage instability and multiple-load flow solutions. After comparison of several indices for two scenarios, the effectiveness of the VIPI (voltage instability proximity index) is shown. This index is computed from multiple-load-flow solutions and can be used for monitoring the system state
