Abstract :
The mobile node´s power control is very important because the energy source of mobile ad hoc networks is limited. The paper presents a power control algorithm based on MAC protocol with directional antennas. The algorithm accounts the interferential power of interferential node in the interferential area through calculating the interferential range. Thus it concludes the send power of node. Through simulation, we found that the algorithm performs much better than 802.11 and DMAC protocol in throughput of networks and channel utilization.
