Abstract :
With the development of network storage systems, distributed file system has become more and more important. In the storage of the large and medium-sized websites, requirement of storage with mass small file is of extremely importance, especially the small pictures, electronic documents and some other kind of small files. Considering the extremely large number of small files, if we choose the traditional distributed file system without additional improvement, the efficiency will be greatly reduced. QFS is such a distributed file system that focuses on storage of massive small files. The file system has made great improvements in many aspects such as the metadata management, high concurrency access, storage efficiency. Moreover, its design is simple and efficient.
