Abstract
A compact coupled folded resonator antenna fed by a microstrip line is proposed for wireless sensor network applications. A prototype antenna is designed, fabricated, and tested. The measured impedance bandwidth of the antenna (|S11| ≤ -10 dB) is ~2.4 % (2.45-2.51 GHz) and the in-band maximal antenna gain is 2.14 dBi. This antenna is designed at 2.45 GHz with reduced device area.
