On Approaches of Improving Service-Oriented Government Construction by E-Government

Service-oriented government is the demand of constructing harmonious society and transforming the function of government, whose aim is to serve the public with higher efficiency. The concept of serving people constructs value orientation for service-oriented government, the function of optimizing organization provides organizational structure for the government, and the actualizing method offers technological support to service-oriented government. Therefore, in order to establish service-oriented government and speed up the construction of e-government, both the improvement of management concept and the scientific, efficient and practical development of e-government should be paid much more attention, by doing which to give full scope to the lead role and exemplary role of informatization construction.
