Abstract :
An Ethernet simulation code, which is primarily intended as a simulation of the NASA Huntsville Operational Support Center (HOSC) facility, has been developed. HOSC itself incorporates up to seventy-five interactive video terminals, several Perkin-Elmer 3254 computers, and up to twenty VAX 11/730 host computers interconnected. However, the simulation program models only the Ethernet bus and can be modified to accommodate changes in system configuration. As an example, the program was modified to simulate a remote seismic array station system design which utilizes an Ethernet interconnection network to interconnect outlying seismic sensor stations to a centralized processor for satellite relay
