Abstract :
A microstrip-fed hybrid slot and strip antenna for multi-band handset applications is proposed. The antenna is composed of three monopole slots and two parasitic strips with a small antenna area of 16 × 40 mm2. The bandwidth of this antenna can cover most of the mobile bands from 0.8 to 6 GHz frequency range including GSM850/900/GPS/DCS/PCS/UMTS/WiMAX 2.6/3.5 GHz and WLAN 2.4/5 GH bands.
