Abstract
This paper presents a comparative analysis of three AC/AC single-phase voltage regulators. Two of these regulators are active series filters, one being the dual of the other. These AC/AC series regulators are compared with the boost/inverter converter, the most common topology employed as AC/AC single-phase regulator in electronics equipment. The boost/inverter regulator has the advantage of input unity power factor. The two series regulators work supplying only a percentage of the load total power to regulate the output voltage. One uses a series low frequency transformer and the other uses a series capacitor reducing weight and price
