Abstract :
The magnetic traction force which attracts paramagnetic particles from a fluid towards a single-wire system carrying current is calculated. The equations are developed when an external magnetic field H0 is applied along: the positive x-, the negative x-, the positive y-, and the negative y -directions, respectively
