  • Abstract
    Because air compressor station is an important role in hump marshalling station, which provides high pressure air for important equipments such as car retarder speed control system, electro-pneumatic switch machine and so on. We have designed a remote monitoring and control system for air compressor station of XiangTan hump marshalling station of Nanchang railway bureau, in order to implement unattended operation. There are four air compressors, which is GA55 type made in Atlas Copco. In this paper, the controlling and monitoring parameters can be transmitted from field layer to master station layer, using serial communication based on Modbus protocol. Not only the remote monitoring and control can be operated in the recommended system, but also the parameter display and fault alarming can be changed by operators and managers and reminded to operators and managers. The main technical points and specific stipulations of modbus protocol are described in detail in this paper. Monitoring and Control System makes the gas supply system more stable and reliable.
