  • Abstract
The results obtained in our laboratory within research projects aimed at the development and the characterization of electrode and electrolyte materials to be used for the fabrication of lithium ion polymer batteries, are described and discussed. The main requirements for a successful result are: (i) the development and the characterization of electrolyte membranes having lithium ion conductivity approaching that of common liquid electrolytes; (ii) the fabrication of appropriate plastic lithium ion battery geometry; and (iii) the optimization and the control of the electrode/polymer electrolyte interface
