Abstract :
The paper deals with the problems of the tram vehicle control according to the criterion of the minimum electrical energy use. The author has extended the methodic given in literature and has elaborated the algorithm of the energy saving tram traffic allowing for the light signalling and ride perturbations. During the running in the city, tram ride parameters change frequently. Mathematical optimization methods make possible the determination of the control means for the tram run with the minimum energy consumption. The influence of the following traffic disturbances was described: the light signalling, different speed limitations, stays, changes of size of the electrical energy recuperation during the braking and variations of the traction network voltage.
