Abstract :
The complexity of a sequence can be increased by nonlinear operations on the output sequence of different stages of a linear feedback shift register. E.L. Key´s method (1976) is extended to nonbinary sequences in which nonlinear operations using multiplications mode p are applied to the nonbinary maximal-length sequence generators. It is shown that the complexity of the resulting sequence increases rapidly when the sequence is nonbinary
