Abstract
To improve the mid-term competitiveness of an IC manufacturing factory, a dynamic capacity re-allocation approach is proposed in this study. At first, a systematic procedure is established to evaluate the mid-term competitiveness of an IC manufacturing factory based on the yield learning models of all its products. Subsequently, a collaboration mechanism is designed to re-allocate capacity/resources among products, so as to enhance the competitiveness of the whole IC manufacturing factory. An example using practical data is used to illustrate the proposed methodology.
