Abstract :
Modelling a photovoltaic (PV) system is generally a complex, time-consuming and computationally intensive exercise. This paper presents a simplified approach to using component efficiency and de-rate factors to generate a design estimate for a stand-alone, true north orientated, direct-coupled, PV powered water pumping system.
