Abstract
The Tokamak Physics Experiment (TPX) machine will advance physics and tokamak design into the steady state regime and demonstrate performance advances for longer time periods than machines currently in operation. The TPX vacuum vessel is designed to withstand forces created by a high vacuum environment, plasma disruptions and significant dead weight. A successful Conceptual Design Review (CDR) was held in March 1993. Important design features presented at the CDR as well as future plans are described herein
