Abstract
In this paper, through improving the coupling feeding type method, a new type of feeding that probe tangent to the patch is proposed. This tangent structure introduces the capacitance to the probe which has the inherent sensitivity and offsets the inherent sensitivity of the probe. In addition, this tangent structure generates three similar frequency resonance points, which lead to the antenna element´s bandwidth and gain improving. In the design of the antenna array, we add double metal walls on both sides of the antenna element, so radiation efficiency of the antenna element is improved and the mutual coupling of units in the array is suppressed. The design of the antenna element is simulated by electromagnetic simulation software HFSS and verified by the CST software, as well.
