Abstract :
An innovative teaching topic of ultracapacitors was worked out in Tallinn University of Technology. For that purpose, a special test bench was built and tested. The test bench has been designed in view of studentpsilas safety and includes numerous protections. This paper describes the structure of the test bench and explains the working principles of different components. To demonstrate and test the functionality of the test bench, three tests were made: charging, discharging, and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) mode.
